London - Frank Lampard had finally proven his commitment to Chelsea. This international English half-back extended his contract five years more in Chelsea. Lampard ended all the speculations moving him to Inter Milan. The player was 30 years old this beforehand indeed aim at by this A Series club because he became the main target the former coach Chelsea, Jose Mourinho. The coach from Portugal this apparently wanted Lampard to gather by him in Inter. However these Italia club efforts to shift Lampard from Stamford Bridge failed after their offer was refused by Chelsea. For this hot season the assurance of the Lampard future that will end his contract in Chelsea on the end of the season 2008/09, still was suspended. However Lampard had finally ended all these speculations by increasing his contract five years more in Chelsea.

With this new contract apparently will make Lampard remain in Chelsea to the end of his career. Of course this became the happy news for the manager Luiz Felipe Scolari that really hoped Lampard could help him to end the power Manchester United. The former player West Ham United this gathered with Chelsea in 2001. For his career in Stamford Bridge, Lampard printed 71 goals from 247 times reinforced The Blues in Premier League.
